Resident Pets: We have: 3 Pugs, Muttley,
Baby & Sassy; an Australian Shepard mix, Snickers; and a Persian cat, Sylvester.
What I enjoy most about my job:
It's very rewarding to work with animals.
They are so happy to see you when you come to take them for their
daily walk or to come and take care of them while their owners
are out of town. It's special to know that they still remember
you and are glad to see you when you haven't seen them in a while.
Funniest pet experience:
One time my husband came home for lunch and fixed himself a tuna fish sandwich.
But, before he could sit down to eat it, my son asked him to help find
something. When my husband came back to the kitchen to eat his sandwich, our
pug, Baby, was sitting in his chair with a big smile on her face, licking her
chops—and of course the sandwich was nowhere to be found.
What do you think our pet friends can teach us?
I think our pets give us greater understanding, because even though we don't speak
the same language, we can learn to communicate with each other very well.
