What I enjoy most about
my job: Getting the wet, sloppy, happy kisses when you show up at the door!
Funniest pet experience: We were living in Colorado during the Blizzard of 2001. We got 52 inches of snow in 48 hours - when we opened the front door after 2 days of non stop snow, Isabelle began running towards the door from the kitchen, jumped and dove head first into the snow. All you could see was about an inch of her tail sticking out of the snow, as she dug her way through the drifts. After that, every time it snowed, she would go outside and "plow" the snow with her mouth and catch snowballs instead of sticks or tennis balls.
What do you think our pet friends can teach us? My baby Jessie, was badly beaten and negleted by her previous owner for 6 years before someone stepped in and put a stop to the abuse. When I brought her home four years ago, she was scared to death of everyone around her. It took some time, but she is now the most loving, snuggling, tail waggin, old girl! Over time, she has shown me the true meaning of forgiveness and how not to hold a grudge.
