Providing Love and Care for Very Important Pets!

Resident Pets: My hubby and I have both dogs and cats. They were all either strays or castoffs. We love them so much and I cant imagine life without them.

What I enjoy most about my job: I enjoy the company of animals so its fun to get to meet new ones and become buddies.

Funniest pet experience: It's hard to pick out stories but Ill tell two. One involves our Rottie JohnnyReb. He is no longer alive but he was my best bud for almost 14 yrs. He loved balls. One day he noticed a red ball in the crook of a tree in our backyard. The kids next door had lost it I suppose. We got it down for him and from then on,til the day he died,he would look up into that tree. We took pity on him after a few weeks and every so often, put another up there for him to "find". He was so happy and did the Rottweiler Romp of Joy before chomping the ball and deflating it!! The next story is about Hot Rod,our orange tabbycat. He was a spooky cat we adopted from a shelter. We were painting the house and he decided to run down the stairs. He ran thru the tray of paint and all over the house. There were kitty footprints all over that house.

What do you think our pet friends can teach us? Our animal friends teach us tolerance, forgiveness, loyality and unconditional love. Qualities that humans aspire to have but seldom achieve are theirs naturally.
