Resident Pets
3 cats. That’s right… I am the cat lady. I have a 9 year old cat named Willie. He’s a 20 lbs white lover that sleeps to the left of my pillow every night. He is huge, but he’s supposed to be… his paws are the size of most small dogs. Next is a 3 year old siamese that really only loves me. She sleeps under the sheets by my feet every night. The newest addition I inherited from a friend who’s fiance is allergic. Her name is Ruca and she’s 2. She kind of a loner and doesn’t hang out with the other two. Her favorite thing is to stare out the plate glass door planning her escape.
What I enjoy most about my job
With dogs I enjoy being the one who helps them exhaust their energy. As far as the cats go I love being able to give them a good “squish” as I call it. It’s kind of a kitty massage.
Funniest pet experience
When Tawnie was a kitten she scaled the wall and turned off the light with her paw while I was having dinner with friends. She’s probably the cutest cat in the world.
What do you think our pet friends can teach us?
Unconditional love. No matter what happens my pets will always love me. It could be that they know who feeds them… but I like to convince myself that they really do love me regardless.
