Arthur the chihuahua is our resident dog and cuddlebum extraordinaire.
He is a rescued mix of unknown origin, and we like to joke that his
mother was a Golden Retriever because he’s just so goofy, happy, loving
and easygoing. Maggie, Gus and Oliver represent the feline side of
things. Maggie is a refined older lady, Gus is a trouble-making
lovebucket, and Oliver the kitten is our newest addition whose favorite
hobbies are playing and purring. We also share our home with a mischief
of wonderful rats, and we foster
for Austin Dog Alliance so we usually have at least one foster dog
living with us.
What I enjoy most about pet sitting
I love spending time with my animal friends and taking care of them! I
get to build relationships with so many wonderful pets. It’s a treat and
an honor.
Funniest pet experience
I couldn’t narrow it down to one! Animals are inherently fun and funny
creatures. I’m always tickled pink when my cat Gus decides to play with
my dog Arthur, though. They’re the same size— in fact, Gus is a little
bigger.
What do you think our pet friends can teach us?
To give ourselves fully to the joys of life. There are few things as
beautiful and pure as a cat relaxing in your lap with her belly up in
the air, or a dog bounding towards you with a ball in his mouth.
