The fur-baby that owns us is a Boston Terrier mix named Belle. She loves laying on the couch bundled up in the blankets…loves ice cream and doggy cookies. She absolutely goes crazy for walks and rides in the car. We love her very much and she is definitely part of our family!
What I Enjoy Most About My Job
I enjoy getting to the know other families in my area and their fur-babies. This is a perfect way of getting to “live out” my love for animals. And the extra money is pretty nice too!
Funniest Pet Experience
Well, I am not sure it is the funniest, but certainly the most memorable. It was my first long term job with VIP and the client had two dogs, an inside cat and a python. I was told that I would not have to mess with the snake…but after my first meeting the the owner, I was told that “if the light bulb should go out, here is what you do…and you need to check the water, here is what you do…oh and you need to wear this HUGE, thick glove when you get in the cage”…WHAT??!! I tell you, I never changed water so fast in all my life!!

Remember, if a dog was the teacher you would learn things like:
When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.
Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride.
Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure ecstasy.
Take naps.
Stretch before rising.
Run, romp, and play daily.
Thrive on attention and let people touch you.
Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.
On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass.
On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree.
When you’re happy, dance around and wag your entire body.
Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.
Eat with gusto and enthusiasm. Stop when you have had enough.
Be loyal.
Never pretend to be something you’re not.
If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.
When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by and nuzzle them gently.
Being always grateful for each new day and for the blessing you have.
